SEXTCASTING SextCasting is any individual, which include today's youth to the mom as your next door neighbor, who constructs content of a risqué or sexually-explicit nature by various technologies such as a digital camera, video camera, live webcam feed, recorded webcast. Where is the material for SextCasting coming from? Adults at home, youth at a social gathering, in the car, privacy of bedrooms and offices, anywhere the technology is available to record, create live, send, post, distribute is all going viral. Numerous news stories and articles published about sexting have shown the world this is one of the most popular technology trends among teens, but did you have any idea that you actually could be the one SextCasting? And, it is not just about youth and teens anymore. What is happening? There are four terms for SextCasting: Private, Public, Unintended, and Viral. A Private SextCast is when two individuals use their respective webcams to carry out a risqué or sexual act in an image on a live webcam feed intended only for another individual.
A Public SextCast is when an individual knowingly performs a risqué or sexual act on the same type of technologies mentioned above and posts the content to a public platform such as a website, blog, social networking website, video streaming website for viewing by the public. The Dark Secret: Unintended is when an individual creates a private SextCast unaware that the content is being stolen from their hard drive or by spyware; hackers are able to obtain the content from an individual’s password protected website or while their webcam feed is being watched and recorded. Hackers use programs to obtain the stolen content that leads to SextCasting going Viral. What should be the most innocent act of young tween or teen girls at a sleep over dancing around their bedroom in the privacy of your home or the wife who misses her husband while he is traveling to another region and records these private SextCast sessions can now be seen across the world. Viral SextCasting: The stolen content whether produced privately or publicly is now distributed globally through websites, video streaming websites, email, social networks and any digital platform available today. The Unknowing Victim: The content is now in possession and saved by third parties forever and that content can come back live to the web at any time and usually does over and over again. How you ask? “Individuals (secretly) save, edit, brand, and re-release your images, videos, or webcasts globally for their own financial benefit at your expense.
