Webkinz has been and is currently very popular among kids and tweens. The concept here is to purchase a stuffed Webkinz toy through various avenues and sign up on the Webkinz website with your child’s Webkinz Pet Code that comes with your purchase. My grandson who is 7 years old just received his first Webkinz pet and we have been enjoying the interactions on this site together.

I have several good resources about Webkinz and advise parents to check them out. The original Webkinz site does a very good job of helping parents with their question and concerns as their children want to join Webkinz. Here is a link to their Parent’s Page http://www.webkinz.com/us_en/faq_parents.html. Make sure you check their Bulletinz for any updated information about their site.

Webkinz main page is located here WebKinz http://www.webkinz.com/us_en/
The history about Ganz Company can be found here Ganz History.http://www.ganz.com/products/webkinz/webkinz.html

More resources and information about Webkinz can be found here Facts About Webkinz http://www.whattheyplay.com/features/webkinz-get-the-facts/

If you have any more questions regarding Webkinz feel free to leave your comments on this blog.

At KidsBeSafeOnline LLC we recommend to always read the terms of service or terms of use on each website. We also make sure there is an “About Me” page, so we know who we are dealing with and a “Contact Us” page, in case, we have comments or issues. Many of these sites offer good parents sections, so please take the time to read them.

ZiggityZoom Awesome site. This site is for kids ages 2 to 8 and offers a multitude of variety for online fun for your kids. Your kids can play games, color pictures, read and listen to stories and have a wide variety of characters. Please check out their parents section. This company put together a great site for kids!

This site has Buster’s Travels, Go George Go with games, coloring pages and trading cards and Fern’s Poetry Club, where your child can write a poem, read poems or just find out the definition of a poem. This site is published by the producers of Arthur and Marc Brown.

www.funbrain.com - has games for all ages, but there is a Playground where you pick a character on the playground and play the game for that intended character. I found this entertaining and some of the characters easy enough for under 7. FunBrain has Flash Arcades, Web Books and Comics. You can click on find a Game by Age and Click “K” it has listed all kinds of games for Age 6 and under. Remember these games are parent assisted.

www.learningplanet.com/stu/kids9.asp Great website for ages Preschool to Kindergarten and higher. But for this purpose we are focusing on Websites for Ages 7 and under. This is a very good website for preschoolers for teaching them how to alphabetize in order and counting. Really good educational games for preschoolers matching colors, shapes, letters, numbers, etc.
