Last week was quite an event for us at KidsBeSafeOnline. I attended the Internet Safety Technical Task Force at Harvard Law School. The day long presentations were informative and productive to learning what the new technologies are on the horizon for protecting kids identities online.

Should we Age Verify or Not? How will this information be stored? What information will be stored? How will it be kept private? What if there is a breach in that database of stored information? These are the questions that were asked repeatedly to each presenter with the technology to age verify, content monitor, and software for parental controls.

None of the companies presenting had the perfect solution to this issue, but based on upcoming recommendations of the Task Force, it is now possible to combine these very talented companies to develop a very good solution to protecting our kid’s identity online.
